Student depression and anxiety are increasingly significant issues that teachers face in the classroom, as these diagnoses profoundly affect a student's ability to learn, socialize, and succeed academically. In this session, we will explore the diagnosis of anxiety and depression in children and teens, symptomatology, treatments, and appropriate accommodations. After this session, teachers will be empowered to create supportive and understanding classroom environments, ultimately helping students succeed both academically and emotionally.
