We will cover the history of Achieve Virtual and show the teacher to student asynchronous experience in our online courses. Our objective is to build teacher interest in our school in order to grow our staff in subjects of need and hopefully increase course offerings online through Achieve Virtual. Intended audience: 7-12 Grade.
T.R.I.V.I.A. can be a fun way to engage a class in before, during, and/or after a topic of study. This session will simulate an example of T.R.I.V.I.A. with some time to create your own for a topic of your choice. Participants are highly encouraged to sign up with a group of people as this will be a group activity.
We will model how we have developed our online staff development courses in Canvas, and provide participants time to create a flipped or asynchronous staff professional development lesson in Canvas with our help. Leadership positions will hopefully find this session helpful in regards to leveraging Canvas to "flip" professional development meetings. Intended audience: Administrators.
During this session, we will review structures and routines for different EM2 fluency activities including what it looks like in classrooms across Wayne. For teachers who are new to EM2 or any other teacher who wants to maximize their fluency time, join us to learn specific moves to engage students and intentionally plan the fluency component in your math lesson. Intended audience: K-6 Grade.
